Stroke in Dogs and Cats - The Imaging Characteristics

In this fascinating webinar, Dr. Laurent Garosi provides an overview of cerebrovascular accidents, or stroke in dogs and cats, and reviews their imaging characteristics, describing both ischaemic and hemorrhagic disease, when evaluated using MRI. As cerebrovascular accidents often alter the structural integrity of the brain, confirmation of the cause of the clinical signs tends to require advanced imaging studies such as CT or MRI. The imaging characteristics may vary depending on the degree of disease and the time between the onset of the clinical signs. This session reviews what to consider when investigating this common cause of brain disease in dogs and sometimes cats.
