GLOBAL HYPOXIC-ISCHEMIC BRAIN DAMAGE

Dr. Abbe Crawford discusses her findings from her recent study on global hypoxic-ischemic brain damage in dogs and cats. This is a devastating disease condition that can occur in association with cardiac arrest, hypovolemic shock, or severe hypotension as is sometimes seen with anesthetic accidents. The clinical characteristics, diagnosis, treatment, and outcome are discussed in this session.
